Job Description: The Fleet Manager will play a critical role in supporting the operations of our fleet management team. This position involves overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and contributing to the optimization of fleet performance. You will collaborate closely with the Fleet Manager and other stakeholders to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and route planning.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics and generate reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance
Support the procurement process for new vehicles, including evaluating specifications and negotiating contracts.
- Develop and implement best practices for fuel management and cost reduction
Assist in training and mentoring drivers on safety protocols and operational procedures
Participate in fleet audits and assist in maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting.
